New adult non-fiction books to get excited about!

Now that the evenings are getting shorter and colder, what better way to spend the evening than curled up with a good book? There are some very exciting new books being released in the coming weeks from biographies to cook books, so read on and start planning your next reading adventure!

Our library catalogue is always being updated with the latest releases, so make sure to place a request on your book of choice, and we will send you an email/text when they are ready to collect.

Books in our non-fiction section are arranged using the Dewey Decimal System.

She then describes the challenges involved of being a parent to three children under the age of two.

Rachel Allen’s recipe books are a firm favourite amongst our library members, and for a good reason. The recipes are easy to follow and delicious and the photography is always drool-worthy! Her latest book Soup, Broth, Bread is dedicated to a winter favourite: soup. Knowing (and perfecting) a few great soup recipes can get you out of many a day when you just don’t know what to cook, so soup being both tasty and nutrient dense, is the perfect solution! Another hotly anticipated recipe book for the winter season.

The Storyteller: tales of life and music by Dave Grohl

Dave Grohl has written a collection of memories that are sure to intrigue and entertain. Grohl has had a very interesting and adventurous career from his time with Nirvana and Foo Fighters to many exciting experiences such as jamming with Iggy Pop, drumming for Tom Petty, and playing at the Academy Awards. In this collection of stories, he remembers and retells some of these fascinating stories.

Tenement Kid by Bobby Gillespie

In a recent blog post, Clare from Tullamore library outlined some of the music that influenced her throughout her life. https://offalylibrariesblog.wordpress.com/2020/11/26/music-blog-why-music-matters-to-me/ Primal Scream made that list, so another exciting forthcoming music memoir is that of Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie. The book is centred around Bobby’s experience growing up in working class Glasgow and takes the reader through his life story up to the release of the Screamadelica album in 1991.
